Wound Up Gear Drive Technology

Headtec GmbH milling heads designed with pre-loaded drives are being offered in one or two axis design. The drives are being pre-loaded via two electronically controlled built in motors. The pre-loaded drives are very sturdy and offer very high contouring capabilities. High frequency or torque ridgid gear spindles can be used in those milling heads. The milling heads also can be optionally designed either for automatic spindle change or with an interface for automatic head change. In partnership with Phillips Olympia we delivered a custom machine to one of the major defense contractor. Attached movie shows the machine under power  movie .
